Google Drive is a cloud storage service that allows you to save documents, images, videos, and more. Access the Google Drive App
To play music files directly through the Google Drive app, first launch the app on your smartphone or tablet. The app is available for Android and iOS devices.
To launch the Google Drive app on your iOS device, tap Google Drive on the App Store. On your Android device, tap Google Drive on Google Play. The app should launch immediately.
Add Music Files to Google Drive
Once you’ve launched the Google Drive app, tap the + button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This button is next to the Search button.
In the Add File window, tap the Music button. Then, tap the Select button. This will open the music folder on your device. Select the music file you want to play, then tap the Open button.
If the music file you want to play is stored online, tap the Upload button. In the Upload window, tap Select Files to select the music file you want to play. Then, tap the Open button.
Once you’ve selected the music file you want to play, it will automatically begin playing. To stop playing the music file, tap the Pause button.
Control Music Playback
While the music file is playing, you can pause, resume, or stop playback by tapping the Pause button. To skip to the next track, tap the Next button. To skip to the previous track, tap the Previous button.
You can also control music playback by using the device’s media controls. For example, on an iPhone, you can pause playback by double-tapping the Home button.
To control music playback on your Android device, tap Pause, Play, or Next from the media controls.
