Windows visual effects (VFX) are visual effects that enhance the appearance of windows, such as shadows, blur, and animations. However, these visual effects can also slow down your computer’s performance.
Windows 10 comes with several visual effects enabled by default. However, some of these visual effects can be turned off to improve Windows performance.

- Click the Start button.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Click the System icon.
- Click the Advanced system settings link.

- Click the Custom option.
- Click the drop-down menu under “Choose the Visual Effects That Are Currently Enabled”.
